A private office crafted for clients with a modern and youthful perspective, this space on a linear site measuring 55 feet in length and 15 feet in width embodies the essence of modern and minimalist design.
TRANSFORMATION PLAN
The interior layout optimizes the available space, fosters a sense of openness, and reflects the youthful and contemporary outlook of the clients. The main objective was to break out of the stereotypical office layout with cabins and corridors while also creating private cabins for the three owners.
The design language emphasizes the length of the space, exaggerating and highlighting it as a unique feature by positioning all the fixed furniture along the length of the office on both sides to create an open and free-flowing central area.
The wireframe structure in MS (mild steel) on one side adds visual interest as well as facilitates the inclusion of landscape features, storage spaces, and services. The left monochrome wireframe wall contrasts and compliments the solid beech wood massing on the right side, creating visual interest while maintaining a cohesive overall design.
The result is a modern and functional office space that successfully addresses the challenges posed by the site conditions. The design optimizes the available space, fosters a sense of openness, and reflects the youthful and contemporary outlook of the clients
The workstations are designed to have in-built wire managers and storage with flip open mechanism that keep the cables organized and hidden.
The pantry, open, compact yet highly functional, is unconventionally positioned at the center of the office space. The pantry unit accommodates an extendable prep counter, a coffee machine, a sink, a water filter, a microwave, a fridge and storage.
